Residents of the City of Port Allen along with Keep West Baton Rouge Beautiful volunteered their time recently to cut branches, trim trees, hall trash, pick up litter and do a little mowing in and around Kentucky Street, Atchafalaya Street, and Court Street near Port Allen City Hall.
The Great American Clean Up is a time of year that Keep Baton Rouge Beautiful (KWBRB) uses to get the community to come together and help to beautify the parish.
Students, residents and local leaders hit the streets for a community clean-up. Keep West Baton Rouge Beautiful and the Port Allen Neighborhood Watch hosted the Community Clean-up in Port Allen on Avenues A through C.
Each Friday, the students in Doctor Green’s environmental science class, along with the help of other students, collect the recycling at Port Allen High School.
